James Holland

James studied Zen Meditation in the 1970s through the early 1980s, and taught Mindfulness, Walking and Chant meditation through the 1980s to the present. He taught meditation classes at the Denver Buddhist Temple where he was a lay minisrter from 1987 till 2003 and a certified as a Minister Assistant until 2016. For the last four year he has taught in a clinical setting with Dr. Mary Rogers. James holds a degree in Fine Arts from Mercyhurst University, studied Psychology at State University of New York, Though he has been trained and has taught in the Buddhist tradition, James presents mindfulness and meditation from a secular and science-based perspective in order to make the practice comfortable to people of diverse spiritual backgrounds.

In addition to being a co-founder and teacher for Mindful Ways, James is a professional photographer.

Mary Rogers, PsyD

Mary has been teaching mindfulness since 1998. She holds a degree in fine arts from McKendree University, as well as a Master's in Art Therapy, and a Doctor of Psychology degree (PsyD) from Wright State University and WSU's School of Professional Psychology in Dayton, Ohio. She is a licensed psychologist in private practice as well as a co-founder and teacher with Mindful Ways.
